SYNCHRO SPACE NEWS

On December 3-10, 2021, one of the most important events in the field of innovation development in the cities of Ukraine took place - the urban hackathon SYNCHRO SPACE. The event was supported by the Innovation Development Laboratory of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Ukraine, the Embassy of the Netherlands in Ukraine and FIABCI Ukraine.

On October 7, the final presentation of the program SYNCHRO SPACE Rivne - Laboratory of Green Cities Development, which was attended by representatives of Rivne region, organizations SYNCHRO SPACE and WorldStartup, the Embassy of the Netherlands, startups and experts involved in the development and implementation of the region.

On July 20, the presentation of the «HACKATON OF COAL MINING CITIES. MINE NEW IDEAS!» program took place in the «Parkovy» CEC.

On June 1, 2021, three winners of the National Competition for Innovative Solutions to the Logic of Biomimicry, organized by the United Nations Development Program in Ukraine and the Institute of Biomimicry (USA), were announced. The theme of the competition was waste management - one of the components of the Sustainable Development Goals. The Biomimicry Project is a very important and timely UNDP initiative that included an online training course, competitions and incubation. During June, SYNCHRO SPACE helped the winning teams prepare projects for presentation at the next, international stage of the competition.

Two years ago were presented the results of the first urban hackathon Synchro Space, that marked the beginning of the path to innovative urban development in Ukraine.

The international event attended by startups, representatives of cities and international organizations, experts in urban planning, technology and sustainable development.

Developing cycling infrastructure and cleaning open water are areas that have brought together international and Ukrainian experts, startups and city officials.

On August 14-21, 2020, we held a significant online event in the field of innovation development of the cities of Ukraine - IV urban hackathon SYNCHRO SPACE. The event was supported by the Innovation Development Laboratory of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Ukraine, the Embassy of the Netherlands in Ukraine та FIABCI Ukraine.

Experts from Ukraine and the Netherlands revealed the main challenges, important directions and tasks for cities. And startups from both countries presented their solutions in these areas.
